Hey Ladies. I can't believe that in 5 days the year will be over. Where did 2007 go? I hope that you all reached w/e weight loss goals you all set for the year. If not keep trying. You cant let the feelings of failure stop you from making progress. I have lost weight only to gain weight. Rinse and repeat. Its been a tumultous year but I'm still on the path of perserverance. Share your war stories and sucesses with us as we conclude this year and prepare for tthe new one. What do you want to accomplish in '08?Buena Suerte!
I ordered hip hop abs b/c i can NOT do abs work on the floor and I want my 6pack for the summer. Is anybody else familiar w/ the series? I'll let u know how it works for me.

I know I'm about a month late but first let me say "Happy New Year!" to you all. I know that a lot of people make NYR's each year and a bunch probably made the #1 on most lists .......To Lose Weight. I dont really believe in making resolutions especially those pertaining to things of habit. When it comes to resolutions requiring willpower, we often tend to neglect all the pretty promises we've made as soon as the novelty of the new year wears off. With that said, Welcome back to Fat Ladies in 07. This is the year for change. This is our year. There's no sayin that we cant do it because we can. Screw the naysayers. Every little bit works and every bit helps. This is also a year for being completely honest w/ ourselves. People often make the mistake of thinking that losing weight or any dramatic alteration of the physical appearance is a cure all for whatever ails them. It's time to take a good look inside and be sure that you want it for the right reasons. We have to be able to acknowledge that all of us were not destined to be a size 2 or even a 6. So be sure to set realistic goals for yourselves so that you CAN achieve them. Dont let other people try to make you conform to the ideals or goals that they've set for you. Dont let people try to pressure you into diets or exercise regimens that are not for YOU. Most importantly, however you choose to lose the weight, tone up, etc should be entirely up to YOU. Whether you are running 7 miles a day or Walking Away the Pounds for 30 mins, it should make you happy. Like our motto says" You've got to want it for yourself." If you don't love what you're doing or it feels like a chore, you're not going to stick with it. So 2007 is the Year of the Niche. Find your diet/exercise niche and the weight problem really wont be a problem after all. Happy Shedding!

Hello everyone!! I'm 24, 6ft tall (yeah, uber tall) and am about 190 lbs. I have always been a big girl, and in fact was my heaviest at around 210 when I was in 8th grade. Somehow, through starting sports in high school, I managed to drop to 175 (while I grew three inches), but I have gained it back since going through college and all that. I'm not really sure what a good goal weight for me would be. I've never seen a skinny me. I carry most of my weight around the middle and in my thighs, so... yeah. I recently started counting calories, trying to keep it around 1000-1500. I think thats okay for my height and stature, but, again, not sure. I also started Muay Thai Kickboxing recently, which if anyone needs a fun, kick your ass type of activity, I stroooongly reccomend it.Well, I guess thats it. Could I get some ideas of a good goal weight from anyone? Thanks!!~~ Andrea
Well I am new. I will be 28 this month and have decided to lose weight AGAIN!! I am WAY over 200 lbs and only 5'5, needless to say I have a way to go to get down to 180 to start. I lost 95 lbs about two years ago and was looking good I thought at 180, but my long term goal is 150. I meet my husband about the time frame that I was 180, and from the late night dinners to buying a house and getting married I gained it all back which was too easy to do. So I have a closet full of clothes that I refuse to donate, and I refuse to by anymore larger ones either. So here I am drinking my seltzer water and chewing on my power bar for a late afternoon snack. My husband is a big dude as well so he and I will be doing this together. I will be damned if I have to suck in my stomach for that airline seat we will be sitting in this fall for our first anniversary !! : ) So yea that's about it...just wanted to join something to keep me on my toes and a little female support too!!
Hello! I'm a 18 year old and I weight 190 pounds. Needless to say, I'm not happy with my weight at all and have decided that this new year is going to be different. I'm starting college up, and want to look good for it. I'm hoping to get down to at least 135 pounds, and I've seen so many dieting markets out there it makes my head want to spin.First off, I'm not good with counting and remembering things. I'm thinking about doing Weight Watchers, since they have that whole point thing going and it'd be ten times easier to count that then calories. We also have a treadmill, so I'm hoping to use that like, 30 minutes a day.My only problem is that I get horribly tempted at work. I work at a pizza place, and they always offer their employees food.. And they have soda open for employees to drink all the time. It's a good job, I love who I work with, my boss is awesome, I really don't want to leave it. I just worry it's going to ruin my diet.
Hi guys!I'm fifteen years old and weigh almost 150 pounds. It's not as bad as it could be, at my age, I do know that; but I have been overweight and unhappy about what I am for a long, long time. But I want to change.I went to Curves today and plan on registering by next week. It seems like a positive place and I can't wait to start.My goal is to lose roughly forty pounds. I wanted to lose this by May. I don't know if that is possible but the instructor at the Curves I went to today said that if I follow everything, I can lose that in around five - six months. I'm in no rush, and I realize that I either will weigh more or less than I do now by May; since I am serious about this now, there is no way I'm going to keep digging myself this grave.I have help now with the working out. But not with the food. I have no idea what to eat. I was told to eat whole grain food, nothing white; eat fives times a day, small portions, etc etc. But does anyone have any food plans they have? I definitely don't want to stick to the same thing and I can't live on bread and fruits for the rest of my life.So any sites, or food ideas would really help me a lot.Thanks and good luck to all of you. :] ♥
Hi Everyone!My name is Alicia and I am 21. I have been overweight all of my life and am finally tired of it. My best friend is getting married in May and I am possibly getting married later this year and I just want to look great for both weddings. Most of all I just want to be happy when I look at myself in the mirror. I want to be a pretty skinny women not a fat women. Friday I joined Curves. I had my first workout today. I LOVED IT. I didn't feel stupid being there working out like I have when I have gone to the gym. It was just women like me working out. My next step is to join Weight Watchers. I want to lose at least 40 more pounds before May. Hopefully I can do it. Well actually I know I can do it, because I am determined to do it. Best of luck to all of us on our weight loss journey.
