Hello! I'm a 18 year old and I weight 190 pounds. Needless to say, I'm not happy with my weight at all and have decided that this new year is going to be different. I'm starting college up, and want to look good for it. I'm hoping to get down to at least 135 pounds, and I've seen so many dieting markets out there it makes my head want to spin.First off, I'm not good with counting and remembering things. I'm thinking about doing Weight Watchers, since they have that whole point thing going and it'd be ten times easier to count that then calories. We also have a treadmill, so I'm hoping to use that like, 30 minutes a day.My only problem is that I get horribly tempted at work. I work at a pizza place, and they always offer their employees food.. And they have soda open for employees to drink all the time. It's a good job, I love who I work with, my boss is awesome, I really don't want to leave it. I just worry it's going to ruin my diet.
Late night job munching was my kryptonite. I know how hard it is to bypass the vending/soda machines. One day I set my mind that I WAS going to make it one night w/o drinking a soda. I succeeded. The next night I said I would NOT eat any junk out of the machine. Now I wont lie like I didnt have the Twix Devil on my shoulder whispering in my ear, but I thumped it off and settled for a bottle of water. I just wanted to prove to myself that I could. So my recommendation would to be to just start w/ something small like sodas or chips, etc and once you see that you have the willpower NOT to eat or drink it wont be so hard to tackle the big thing. Also there's nothing wrong w/ your fav treats in moderation as long as you stick to the serving sizes and make sure they fit into your daily caloric intake.
